The supervision course is a 4 day online course based on the Supervision Framework for the Social Work profession in South Africa. The focus is placed on the integration of theory, policies and practice. Providing effective social work supervision is a highly skilled task. Managers require training and support to undertake this role. Therefore emphasis is placed on the implementation of the Framework, the “how” of supervision. Besides didactic presentation, the training makes provision for group discussions, practical work sessions as well as individual assessment opportunities.
